If you haven’t noticed all the hoopla over the Ashland Independent Film Festival this week, this is your official notification.
Hordes of movie-lovers will descend on Ashland’s theaters this weekend for the annual shindig celebrating what can be done without a multi-million dollar film budget. Most of the tickets cost $10 for general admission, but you can join in on the action for even less.
Tickets to two “Locals Only” sessions are absolutely free, and so popular that Sunday’s session is held in the Historic Ashland Armory with 500 seats. Short films geared toward families show on Saturday, and tickets are $6 apiece.
And if you want to feel like a real insider, attend a free TALKback where you can meet the filmmakers and discuss cerebral things like using documentaries for social change or cross-cultural understanding through film.
Happy viewing!
