Oregon’s Newest Poet Laureate

Peter Sears appointed Poet Laureate

The poetry news gets better and better. Peter Sears is Oregon’s newest Poet Laureate. Governor John Kitzhaber appointed the Corvallis poet to replace Paulann Peterson, who has held the position since 2010. Sears, who has lived in Oregon since 1974, teaches at Pacific University.
