Welcome back to Weekly Watercolor on the Pocket Protector blog. It’s only in its third week, so if you’re not my wife or my mom or the one or two other people who read this, here’s the rundown: Once a week, I post a watercolor I’ve done, talk about it for a minute, and bid you adieu.
This one was completed with a little help. I checked out a YouTube video on adding shadows to watercolor scenes. I tried it with this one and added some shade to the tree at the end of an inviting path. I think it gives it a little more dimension, makes it pop. The pink sky has that end-of-the-day relaxing quality to it.
For me at least; it may make you quite frantic. Personally, I’d like to hang a tire swing or a hammock in the branches.
Hope you enjoy it. Have a great weekend.
