Togo’s franchisee shutters Biddle Road location

Togo’s Great Sandwiches shops in Medford is closing  its Blue Sky Plaza location on the corner of Biddle Road and East McAndrews Road.

Will Brake, the local franchise holder, blamed the costs of doing business for consolidating the sandwich franchise operations to one store at the Harry & David Country Village on Center Drive.

“Rising food and labor costs have made it necessary to consolidate operations,” Brake said in a statement.

The closure is effective today.

Brake brought the California-based sandwich chain to the Rogue Valley three years ago, opening in Feb. 2011. A second store, that survives, was opened last year.
