Welcome back to Haiku Monday, where Fish Hack offers a big thanks to all the past, present and future veterans who make blogs like this possible.
But it’s not a day off at the Fish Wrap, but Fish Hack will make up for coming in late today by leaving early.
Veterans Day recap:/Should be chinook fishing, but/Stuck at the Fish Wrap.
For you Fish Hack virgins, this is when and where Fish Hack waxes on and off non-Brazilian style about the outdoors and whatever intellectual fecal material comes to mind.
Should be down on Southern Oregon’s Elk River flickin’ flies for big chinook heading over the beach into the estuary when high tide turns today. Hack’s spent many a Veterans Day at the Elk. Even had a 30-fish day down there one VD, repeatedly releasing 30-pound chromers just to stay in the game.
Hottest day of life:/30 ‘nooks hooked on the Elk./Won’t match that, ever.
For now, just hangin’ low at the Fish Shack, where Tax Deduction No. 2 is recouping from a heavy weekend running the table at Crater’s Stars and Stripes basketball tourney. North Medford seventh grader girls dominated, as they expected to.
Waiting for tonight’s NFL game to make the weekend a winner after going 1-1 so far.
Steelers, beat the spread/And Fish Hack’s up for weekend./12 and 5, baby!
