HAIKU MONDAY: On Bleacher Butt, New Steelhead and Cutthroat Karma

Welcome back to Haiku Monday, where Fish Hack finally is back at the keyboard after spending most of the spring and summer weekends chasing Tax Deduction No. 2′s North Medford girls’ basketball team around the state.

It cost Fish Hack very little non-work fishing and a serious case of Bleacher Butt, but worth watching these 8th Graders-to-be beating down teams of girls three and four years older.

Bleacher Buttitis:/Eschew fishing for kids’ games./Counting on karma.

Finally been trading the bleacher for the rowing seat on Fish Hack’s driftboat, where Hack’s been joined by MT shooter extraordinaire Jamie Lusch working hard for you good people. Fridays’ story about early-run summer steelhead on the upper Rogue River — Hack’s home waters — has a great steelhead shot by Lusch. Check it out HERE.

Early steelhead rock./Sure beats fishing for Chinook./At least steelhead bite.

This week’s work-fishing for you people sees us telling the story of the nice rebound cutthroat trout have made on the upper Rogue.

Used to rarely see them. Now there are times you can’t stay away from them.

Was, still and always will be one of Hack’s fave finners.

It’s an honor to fish for them on Rupert’s dime.

All-wild cutthroat./Let us now praise famous fish./Majestic they are..
