In victory, Sheldon loses (by forfeit)

The Southwest Conference boys soccer standings will be different in Sunday’s paper than they were Wednesday because of a forfeiture. Sheldon had to give back Tuesday win over Grants Pass.

The Irish violated Oregon School Activities Association rules when one of their players played in three halves of the varsity and junior varsity games that day. Sheldon’s 3-2 win over the Cavemen was reversed because OSAA rules stipulate players can only participate in two halves in one day.

Grants Pass is now 1-2 in conference, and Sheldon is 0-3.
