The best day in sports? No, but close

An ESPN poll today asks if this is the best or biggest day in sports, the start of the NCAA tournament. The Super Bowl was getting the most votes last I looked, and rightly so. If you look at it like, the nation’s best PR and marketing firms are supposed to have their fingers on the pulse of said nation, and look at the lengths they go to with TV ads to reach the most people, it’s got to be the Super Bowl. There will be no specials this weekend geared to NCAA tournament ads. People won’t tape today’s games just to they can fast-forward through the action to get to halftime. And viewers won’t tell everyone in the room to “Shush!” because there’s a commercial break. Just my take. Other options were opening day of baseball — it’s a got a couple, so how does that even count? — and the final day of the Masters.

Now, is this the best weekday in sports? Yeah, it’s gotta be. Already strapped workforce production will take another hit the next several weeks.
