Salem defeated Ashland 10-8 in a loser-out baseball game today at the American Legion A State Tournament at North Medford High. Ashland, trying to win its third straight state title, trailed 10-7 entering the seventh and scored a run with a double, single and throwing error. But a fly out ended the game with a runner at second base.
