La Grande eliminates North Medford Mavericks

La Grande ended host North Medford’s run in the American Legion A State Tournament Monday with a 5-4 victory at North High. La Grande used back-to-back doubles in the top of the eighth inning to go up 4-3, then Tyler Edison followed with a single that scored Austin Woodward with the eventual winning run. North Medford ended the tournament with a 2-2 record and was 27-12 for the season.
