Salem wins, in title game against Roseburg

Salem pulled away in a one-run game with five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat La Grande, 13-7, in the American Legion A State Tournament at North Medford High.

The victory put Salem in the title game at 2 today against Roseburg. Both teams have one loss in the double-elimination tourney. Salem defeated Roseburg, 22-16, on Sunday.

In today’s win, Brandon Chinn was 4-for-5 for Salem, driving in three runs and scoring twice.
