Mustangs defeated Berlin, Conn., 5-0

The Medford Mustangs remain alive in the American Legion Baseball World Series with a 5-0 victory over Berlin, Conn. Berlin (34-8) is eliminated from the eight-team, double-elimination tournament. The Medford Mustangs lost 4-2 to Midland, Mich., today in their opening game of the American Legion World Series in Fargo, N.D. The Medford Mustangs are headed to the American Legion baseball World Series. Medford’s attendance for the Saturday night game in the American Legion AAA Northwest Region Baseball Tournament was far and away better than any of the others reporting for their Game 11s.
